Life which simply means existence brings forth whatsoever you gives it. In my own understanding of life operations i would say it is more like the operation of a computer system ie on the basis of Garbage in Garbage out.
One cannot cultivate yam and expect to harvest plantain during harvesting period, what you cultivate is what you will surely harvest. So also in life, if you do good same fate will follow you and if you do bad you will also be rewarded in same manner.
Growing up as a youth and well aware of what is good and bad as well, it is now left for you to choose. Most youth of nowadays live in the now ie they live there life's as if there is no tomorrow which is not the right approach to life, We are supposed to to live our lifes in the now and always mindful of the future as well cause whatever choice or decision one make today has a way of affecting your future either negatively or positively.
"Experience is the best teacher" some will usually say whenever they want to do that which they know is wrong. No disputing that very phrase but "seriously" do you want to experience that which you know can leave a long lasting mark on you that may be impossible to erase in the future.
Take for instance a girl in high school at a tender age studying to become useful to her parents and to the society at large but along the line she was misled by some bad friends that introduced her to an entirely different way of living (bad way) and eventually got pregnant in her high school and believe me that has left a mark that may be impossible to erase in the future simply because she wanted to "experience"
Getting the best out of life
To get the best out of life
firstly: you have to implement the Golden Rule(Do to others what you would like them to do unto you) in your everyday life.
Secondly: while living your life in the now always be mindful so as not to affect the future negatively.
Thirdly: we are humans and sometimes we make mistakes or offend someone, when that happens do not hesitate to utter this three letter words that can quench anger instantaneously "I am sorry"
Fourthly: Avoid or discard from your life irresponsible or unimportant friends (very important)
And finally: Always do that which is right nomatter the pressure.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate your significant feedback. Thanks for stopping by...
DeleteI totally agree that life is what you made it. In my native language (Romanian), we have a million proverbs equivalent to "you reap what you sow" and my parents used to always tell me that. So I am a firm believer that everything in your life happens thanks to/because of your own actions.

So true! I are your one and only life maker! You should remember that you have only one life and you should live it to your fullest!
ReplyDeleteI have this in the back of my mind all the time when making decisions. Whilst I do like to live for here and now, I also think about tomorrow and if my actions will affect my future.
ReplyDeleteSo true! We need to make decisions now that will positively impact our futures. It is easy to act in the moment, but we need to think of the long term.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post and I like that you included about not affecting the future negatively. So many people don't consider that when making decisions.

Life is a combination of so many things, moments, and experiences. I try to cultivate a positive mindset and consciously tell myself every day to make better choices.
ReplyDeleteLife really is what we've made of it. Today I am struggling with some major changes and living in transition so to speak of homes, and it's hard but I also am confident that this is a step I have to take to become confident and make the best of life again.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally true. I really like your thoughts about life. Especially the golden rule Do to others what you would like them to do onto you. Well said!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I couldn't agree more. No.4 is super true and this is the reason I don't have many friends. What i have are genuine people who know the real me.
ReplyDeleteSuch an inspiring post. Totally agree with #2. Being mindful to the present moment is what gives you true happiness and appreciation of everything around you.
ReplyDeleteLife is definitely what we make it. I choose to make sure I live the best life possible. Great message here.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of our days, someone will look back at us and say, "He or she lived life according to what they made of it." Thanks for the reminder to live our life to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this post. Life is what we make it just like a very known proverb states you reap what you sow!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Whatever we experience now with our life comes from the aftermath of what we did yesterday. Sometimes we wish that life is like a movie, that we can rewind but we can't.
ReplyDeleteI cant agree more with you, one gets what one sows and that is why we have to be mindful of our deeds!
ReplyDeleteLife is basically what you make of it. If you sow good, you get good life and vice versa so it's about time we become more mindful of what we do,right?
ReplyDeletelove this motivational post! I totally agree life is what you make it. you only get one shot so best to have fun, enjoy and treat others with respect x
