Great post! It is always hard to keep a balance when it comes to work. Because after all you go to work to perform a job you are being paid for not to social. But being empathetic does create a more comfortable work environment.
ReplyDeleteI usually do well when it comes to working with others, and I agree with these suggestions. If only some managers could learn a little, it might help with retention if they could be accommodating of certain circumstances....

ReplyDeleteI have to say that I'm usually very empathetic with the patients I assist at work, but need to be more empathetic towards my coworkers! The nature of my work means I have to wait on others to do their work right before I can finish my work. This can make me quite testy at times! Great post!
